Our Documentary Wins The Grand Jury Prize For 'Best Documentary Film' at the Los Angeles Film Invasion Festival

We are thrilled to announce that our film, "King Of The Butterflies," has won the Grand Jury Prize for Best Documentary Film at the Los Angeles Film Invasion Film Festival! A heartfelt thank you to everyone at this wonderful festival and to our lead characters, Darryl and Tonya!

A special shoutout to Ralston Vaz for managing marketing and publicity in Los Angeles, and to my brother Benedikt Johannesson for handling all the technical aspects.

It's been a long road to making this film, and we wouldn't have been able to achieve it without the tremendous support from so many people. Special thanks to the Icelandic Film Fund, the Icelandic State Television, and our executive producers Margret Jonasdottir and Danny Sherman, who introduced me to Darryl Francis back in 2012. Without Danny, this wonderful gem would never have happened.
